Christmas Collection

Every year I have told myself this is the time to make a new quilt for the Holidays… But I never actually got around to actually making one that we could also publish as a pattern. The plan was there, but the execution was sometimes delayed and time... yes, you know how it goes... Anyway, the plan is to make a Christmas collection more often.

Level of difficulty: 3*** | Finished size:  38"x 38"| Foundation papers available: Yes | Technique: paper piecing | Pattern needed: Sundance

'Christmas Whisper' is the Christmas edition of 'Sundance,' a design executed in beautiful warm yellow and teal. For the Christmas colorway, we were inspired by the fabrics used in 'December Joy' and 'Feeling Frosty'.
The special part of this Christmas collection is that everything belongs together and complements each other. For example, you can use the placemats for Christmas dinner, and the table runner to cozy up the table between the festivities.
Hang this beautiful wall quilt in a nice place where it will have a place of honor.

A set of six great placemats. We gave them the fun name "Feeling Frosty" because of the shimmering white "Diamond Dust" fabric. The colors of red and green make these beautiful placemats totally 'Christmassy'. Complement this base with a sparkly black/silver star fabric and a cheerful red/white stripe and you have a beautiful placemat for your Christmas table.
What more could you want?

This is the surprise for this year: the popular pattern "The Four Seasons," the table runner, in a Christmas edition. Isn't she beautiful in the traditional Christmas colors?  The red , green and white, together with a beautiful background fabric of poinsettias make this beautiful design look like a picture. Together with the subtle black and silver star and the red and white stripe make this design a delight to the eye.
And not only the table runner is a beauty, but we designed an entire set in this color combination. So there is a fabulous wall quilt and a set of six matching placemats.
We hope you love this as much as we do.

Christmas Dreams

Every year I have told myself this is the time to make a new quilt for the Holidays… and I did. I have designed Christmas Dreams... It is a nice wall hanging or table runner. The six pointed star is so elegant when you turn the star points on one point. I have embellished the outside of the star with my favorite Swarowki's and when the sparkles catch the light …. It is Christmas...

Once I had finished Christmas Dreams… Bridget thought that this pattern would also be nice with only one star. Indeed it was a wonderful idea and I made this little wall hanging in a day. You start with the six star points and the small piano borders.  It is not a difficult quilt and when you follow the instructions you will see how easy it is to cut the fabrics in a very fast way.  If you have not enough time to make Christmas Dreams… and you want a small new wall hanging for the Holidays… I can tell you that this is such a lovely quilt to make by yourself or with your friends or quilt bee.  The patterns: Heavens Light and Christmas Dreams… are in one pattern.
